Sedona > Arizona > United States
The stunning red rocks are a result of millions of years of layered sediment from eons of volcanic activity and as many years of natural wear and erosion. This whole valley was once under water and the iron-rich red buttes were sandbars or islands in a prehistoric sea.
Sedona is always a treat to visit. This time around we got to take a helicopter tour of the vast northern network of canyons and cool-looking formations. We came in that day via Schnebly Hill Road and left in the afternoon heading towards the Grand Canyon.
Sedona is a fascinating place with a nice vibe. Its magnetic draw brings us back time and time again.
