Fire performers gather at the amphitheater.
SpinJam is every Tuesday night at Kaka'ako Waterfront Park. Noah, a buddy of mine from hanabata days, helps organize this get-together and gives one of the best performances.
These time-lapse photos often capture a second or two of motion. I also experimented with zooming in or out or moving the lens around while the shutter was open to create more distinctive light trails.
There's a shot of four performers together, and several guys breathed fire.
If you're ever in the area on a Tuesday night, they start up by about 8p and go until the park closes at 10p. Kaka'ako Park is on Ward near Ala Moana Blvd. Used to be a landfill. Now it's got nice hills of grass, several pavilions and amphitheaters, and great sunset views. The ships all come in and out just to the west of the park and Honolulu can be seen spread out behind.
