Haiku Valley and H3 Freeway

Haiku Valley and H3 Freeway, as seen from the Haiku Stairs about a quarter of the way up. Just over this mound is one of the steepest parts of the trail, with sections that are straight up and down. The lone building in the middle of the valley is the Navy’s original transmitter housing, which later became the Coast Guard’s Omega Station.
